SpotLog - The Log

 Viewing records

Once entered, you can view records in two places:

• The log shows a time sorted list of records with newest at the top and older ones below.  The log shows the loco recorded, the location and if a photograph was taken.
  it will be possible in future to click a record to go to the entry for that locomotive.

• The data book shows records against locomotives, so going down to the third (loco) level in the databook shows a tick against locos that have been seen. 

The Log Page

The log page shows a log of loco sightings:

Information shown includes:

• Time / date of sighting
• Railway
• Number
• Location (if entered)
• Notes (if entered)
• Photo icon if a photo was taken
• Star icon if this was the first record of this loco

Tap an entry to edit (or delete it)

Reporting

You can produce a report of sightings in HTML format.


To generate a report, select "Report" from the menu, the report generation form opens:

Enter a title for the report and select the date range you want to report on.  Click the browse button to select where the HTML report will be saved.


Click "Create Report" to generate the report.


The report will be shown in the app, and is also saved as a file - if you wish you can copy or move this file (eg move to PC).
